I come from China and I have a type-D national visa of Austria. I know it’s illegal to travel to other Schengen countries with this visa. But I heard that the border check is not that frequent if I travel on land (by train or bus), so I am considering taking the risk.
Anyone has an idea what the consequence is if I get caught on a train from Germany to France?
